Syracuse enters the Clemson game coming off three straight losses, with its NCAA bubble hopes significantly deflated. That includes a crushing 85-70 loss at Boston College on Wednesday night.
After the loss to BC, Orange coach Jim Boeheim summed up his team’s predicament.
“This team’s battled all year. They’re trying everything … I can’t even get upset with them. They’re doing everything they can. We’re just limited,” he said.
Clemson, ranked No. 18, enters the Syracuse game on a two-game winning streak, with both of those wins at home (vs. Georgia Tech and Florida St.). The Tigers have lost their last two road contests (at Florida St. and Virginia Tech).
What’s at stake for Syracuse?
Syracuse won its last game with Clemson 82-81 on the road last season. The Orange and the Tigers have split their four meetings since Syracuse joined the ACC in the 2013-2014 season. That includes splitting the two faceoffs at the Carrier Dome.
