What channel is the Syracuse basketball game on vs. Clemson?

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Syracuse basketball (14-8, 8-7 ACC) seeks a quick second straight win when the Orange host the Clemson Tigers (15-5, 9-5 ACC) Wednesday afternoon on short rest.

The contest tips off at 5:01 p.m. at the Carrier Dome and will be televised on the ACC Network, available to subscribers of many cable and satellite TV packages. Wes Durham and Chris Spatola are the announcers. You can also stream it through the ESPN app as long as you receive the ACC Network through your TV subscription.

The ACC Network channel numbers in the Syracuse area are as follows:

[elementor-template id="66015"]
  • Verizon Fios: Channel 571 (HD) & 71 (SD)
  • Spectrum Channel 388 (HD & SD)
  • New Visions: Channel 780 (HD) & 80 (SD)
  • Dish Network: Channel 402 (HD & SD)
  • DirecTV: Channel 612 (HD & SD)

Syracuse (No. 55 in the NCAA’s NET Ratings) is coming off an important 72-70 home win over the North Carolina Tar Heels on Monday night, which boosted Orange post-season hopes. Buddy Boeheim paced Syracuse with 26 points and surpassed the 1,000-point mark in his Orange career, as Syracuse hung on down the stretch despite multiple players hobbled at the end. Now the team must play again less than 48 hours later.

Clemson (No. 33 in NET) comes into the Syracuse contest red hot with five straight wins by an average of 12 points each. The Tigers last played on Saturday, posting a 66-58 home victory over Miami.

Wednesday’s matchup is a makeup game the ACC added a week ago to replace one originally scheduled to be played between the teams on Jan. 12 but postponed due to a COVID issue with the Clemson program. This will be is the 12th all-time meeting between Syracuse and the Tigers, with Clemson leading the series 7-4. The Tigers have won the last three meetings, which were all at played in the friendly confines of its Littlejohn Coliseum. The most-recent tussle was on Feb. 6 of this year, with Clemson dominating from start to finish in a 78-61 demolition of the Orange.

And yet despite that, ESPN’s College Basketball Power Index (BPI) gives Syracuse a 59.7 percent chance of beating Clemson, with a predicted margin of 2.5 points. That’s likely because the Orange are a much-better team at home this year (12-1) than they are on the road (2-7).
