What channel is the Syracuse basketball game on? (vs. Florida St.)

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Syracuse basketball (16-6, 7-2 ACC) seeks a third consecutive win, when the Orange host the No. 22 Florida State Seminoles (16-5, 4-4 ACC) on Tuesday night.

The game tips off just after 8 p.m. at the Carrier Dome and will be televised on Raycom Sports affiliates in local markets. Tom Werme and Mike Gminski are the announcers.

In the Syracuse area, the game will be shown on WSTQ-CW 6. In other Central New York markets, the contest will be available on the following TV stations, according to the ACC:

  • Binghamton: WBPN (My 8)
  • Elmira: WJKP-TV Twin Tiers
  • Utica: WPNY-LP Channel 11
  • Watertown: WWTI-D2 (North Country CW)

Elsewhere in upstate New York, you can find the Seminoles-Orange game on these channels:

  • Albany: WNYA My 4
  • Plattsburgh: WPTZ-D3 MeTV

Syracuse returns home after a three-game road swing, where the Orange posted a 2-1 record. In their most recent game Saturday, Syracuse beat the Pittsburgh Panthers 65-56 in their building. That followed a 77-71 Orange win at Boston College last Wednesday. The Cuse started its road trip with a 78-56 loss at Virginia Tech on Jan. 26.

Florida State comes to the Dome flying high after three straight wins over Georgia Tech, Miami, and Clemson. The Seminoles’ leading scorer is 6’10 forward Mfiondu Kabengele, who scores 13 points per game, coming off the bench. Guard Terance Mann (11.4 ppg) is FSU’s only other double-digit scorer.

What’s at stake for Syracuse?

Syracuse — now No. 42 in the NET rankings and better than that in other rankings — has worked its way solidly inside the projected NCAA Tournament bracket if the field was chosen today. The Orange have a chance to add another quality win over a ranked opponent to solidify their status in the NCAA field and improve their potential tournament seed. The Cuse needs to get as many wins as it can now before its backloaded ACC schedule arrives (Syracuse plays Louisville, Duke, North Carolina, and Virginia in its last six games.)

Tuesday’s game is the 11th all-time meeting between Syracuse and Florida State, with the Orange leading the series 7-3. The Seminoles won last year’s contest, 101-90, in overtime in Tallahassee. However, Syracuse has won all three Carrier Dome matchups with FSU, each by double digits, since joining the ACC five years ago.
