What channel is the Syracuse basketball game on? (vs. Georgia Tech)

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Syracuse basketball (11-4, 2-0 ACC) seeks a fifth straight victory, and third league win when the Orange host the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (9-6, 1-1 ACC) on Saturday evening.

The game is set to tip off just after 6 p.m. at the Carrier Dome and will be broadcast live on ESPN2. Jason Benetti and Dan Dakich are the announcers.

Syracuse comes into the Georgia Tech contest after a 61-53 home win over Clemson on Wednesday night. All five Orange starters scored at least nine points each and the Cuse defense put the clamps on the Tigers, limiting them to their lowest point total of the season, by far.

Georgia Tech enters Saturday’s matchup following a 52-49 home loss to No. 9 Virginia Tech. The Yellow Jackets held the Hokies, an excellent shooting team, to only 30 percent from the field and 19 percent behind the arc but it wasn’t enough.

What’s at stake for Syracuse?

Syracuse has likely brought itself barely back inside the NCAA bubble with its quartet of consecutive wins, including its first pair in ACC play. The Orange have moved up to No. 46 in the NET Rankings, the NCAA’s new tool for selecting and seeding tournament teams. That’s up from the mid-70s before this latest winning streak. Now, Syracuse needs to keep the momentum going by defeating a team it’s supposed to beat (Georgia Tech is ranked at No. 102 in NET). It’s especially important given that the Orange have to play at No. 1 Duke on Monday night.

Saturday’s game is the 11th all-time meeting between Syracuse and Georgia Tech, with the series currently tied at 5-5. The teams have also split the six matchups since the Orange entered the ACC in the 2013-2014 season. The Yellow Jackets won last season’s contest, 55-51, down in Atlanta. The Cuse, however, has defeated Georgia Tech the last two times they’ve met at the Dome.
