SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Syracuse basketball (14-9, 7-5 ACC) looks for a second straight win and a post-season résumé boost when the Orange host the North Carolina State Wolfpack (15-8, 6-6 ACC) on Tuesday night.

The game tips off just after 7 p.m. at the Carrier Dome and will be televised nationally on ESPN2. You can also stream it through the ESPN app. Dan Shulman, Jon Crispin, and Brooke Weisbrod are the announcing crew.

Syracuse (No. 65 in the NCAA’s NET Rankings) is coming off a thrilling 75-73 win at home against Wake Forest on Saturday night that helped keep its post-season hopes alive. Little-used freshman guard Brycen Goodine scored the game-winning basket with 1.5 seconds left. Goodine was forced into action after the Orange had three players (Quincy Guerrier, Bourama Sidibe, and Marek Dolezaj) foul out within two minutes of one another late in the game.

NC State (No. 62 in NET) enters the Syracuse contest after a bye this past weekend. The Wolfpack most recently played last Wednesday when they notched an 83-72 win at Miami. NC State has four players averaging double digits in scoring this season, led by 6’1 senior guard Markell Johnson (13.2 points, 6.6 assists per game),

Tuesday’s contest is the 13th all-time meeting between Syracuse and NC State, with the Orange leading the series 7-5. The Wolfpack, however, have won the last two matchups since Kevin Keatts took over the NC State program.

ESPN’s College Basketball Power Index (BPI) gives Syracuse a 66.2 percent chance of beating NC State. The projected point differential is 4.4 points. The sports analytics website TeamRankings.com says the Orange have a 60.3 percent chance of winning the game. That same site projects Syracuse currently has a 13.6 percent probability of making the NCAA Tournament. The Wolfpack currently have an 18.1 percent chance of doing the same.
