Syracuse is coming off a pair of wins — at Louisville and home vs. Wake Forest, respectively — that have put the Orange back in the hunt for an NCAA berth.
The Orange have a chance to get above .500 in conference for the first time since they were 1-0 in early January and pick up a key win over a team it is competing with for a spot in March Madness. A loss would derail Syracuse’s momentum right as its schedule is about to become more difficult (the Cuse will play at Miami, vs. North Carolina, and at Duke the next three games). It would also provide the Wolfpack with another crucial road win and improve their chances at snaring a bid.
Syracuse has won its last two meetings with NC State, including a 100-93 overtime thriller last season in Raleigh, North Carolina.
