What channel is the Syracuse basketball game on vs. Pittsburgh?

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Syracuse basketball (12-7, 5-3 ACC) looks for a fifth straight win when the Orange host the Pittsburgh Panthers (13-6, 4-4 ACC) on Saturday afternoon.

The game tips off just after 12 p.m. at the Carrier Dome and will be televised on the ACC Network, available to subscribers of many cable and satellite TV packages. You can also stream it through the ESPN app as long as you receive the ACC Network through your TV subscription. Wes Durham and Malcolm Huckaby will be the announcers.

Syracuse enters Saturday’s game fresh off an 84-82 win at Notre Dame on Wednesday evening. The Orange, led by 26 points from leading scorer Elijah Hughes, withstood a furious Irish rally to secure its fourth straight win.

Syracuse (No. 66 in the NCAA’s NET Ratings) is gradually building itself a post-season résumé after a rough start to the season. With these last four wins, the Orange have solidified their place in the NIT picture and now need to keep winning if they want to build on that and have a realistic shot at an NCAA bid.

Pittsburgh (No. 74 in NET) comes off a 74-72 home win over Boston College on Wednesday night. Reserve guard Ryan Murphy hit a game-winning jump shot with 3 seconds left to cement the Panthers win over the Eagles.

Saturday afternoon’s game is the 117th all-time meeting between Pittsburgh and Syracuse, with the Orange leading the series 71-45. Syracuse has won five straight games over the Panthers and six of the last seven — all since former Pitt head coach Jamie Dixon left for TCU.

ESPN’s College Basketball Power Index (BPI) gives Syracuse a 76.4 percent chance of beating the Panthers. The projected point differential is 7.2 points. The sports analytics website TeamRankings.com says the Orange have a 69.2 percent chance of winning the game.
