CHESTNUT HILL, MA — The 20th ranked Syracuse Orange football team (8-3, 5-2 ACC) looks to wrap up its regular season with a win at the Boston College Eagles (7-4, 4-3) on Saturday afternoon.

The game kicks off just after 12 p.m. at Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts and will be shown on ESPN nationally. Bob Wischusen, Brock Huard, and Allison Williams will be the announcing crew.

Syracuse comes into the rivalry game with BC off a 36-3 drubbing to Notre Dame last Saturday at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. That loss ended any chance of the Orange securing a spot in a New Year’s Six bowl like the Peach Bowl or Fiesta Bowl. Syracuse, however, will be going to a bowl whether it beats the Eagles or not. A win would strengthen Orange chances to make the Camping World Bowl in Orlando, the ACC’s best bowl tie-in outside the College Football Playoff and the New Year’s Six. A loss would figure to send Syracuse back to Yankee Stadium for the Pinstripe Bowl. But we shall see.

Boston College enters the Syracuse contest off two straight losses to Clemson and Florida State, respectively. The Eagles fell to the Seminoles 22-21 last Saturday evening after giving up a long touchdown pass late in the game.

Saturday afternoon’s game is the 52nd all-time meeting between Syracuse and BC. The Orange lead the series 31-20, but the Eagles easily won last year’s contest, 42-14, in Syracuse. The Cuse did win its last trip to Chestnut Hill, 28-20, in 2016, Dino Babers’ first year as Orange head coach.
