SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Syracuse Orange football team (2-0, 0-0 ACC) seeks a third win to open its 2018 season on Saturday afternoon when it hosts the Florida State Seminoles (1-1, 0-1 ACC) in Syracuse’s ACC opener.
The game kicks off just after 12 p.m.at the Carrier Dome and will be shown on ESPN. Mark Jones, Dusty Dvoracek, and Molly McGrath will be the announcing team.
Syracuse is coming off a 62-10 home win last Saturday, Sept. 8, vs. Wagner, a member of the Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS), before an announced crowd of 29,395. The Cuse opened its 2018 campaign on Aug. 31 with a 55-42 win at Western Michigan.

Timekeeping Trap: Be Careful When “Rounding” an Employee’s Work Time
The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) regulations do not require an employer to track and pay an employee for the exact number of minutes they actually work. As currently written,
“They are family. They would never do that!” Our guard comes down as it is hard to imagine a family member capable of business fraud. Unfortunately, that is when the
Florida State rallied for a 36-26 win over Samford from the FCS last Saturday night. The Seminoles bounced back from a 24-3 opening night loss at home to Virginia Tech.
Syracuse is looking for its first 3-0 start under head coach Dino Babers, who is in his third year at the helm, and just the eighth 3-0 beginning to an Orange football season since 1942. The most recent was in 2015, when Syracuse opened the year with wins over Rhode Island, Wake Forest, and Central Michigan.
To match those past 3-0 starts, the Orange will need to snap its five-game ACC losing streak and its 10-game losing skid against Florida State. Syracuse is also 0-2 vs. new Seminoles head coach Willie Taggart, who posted both of those wins when he was South Florida’s head coach.
