What channel is the Syracuse-Louisville football game on?

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The 13th ranked Syracuse Orange football team (7-2, 4-2 ACC) looks for a fourth straight win when it hosts the Louisville Cardinals (2-7, 0-6 ACC) on Friday evening.

The game kicks off at 7:05 p.m. at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse and will be shown on ESPN 2 nationally. Jason Benetti, Kelly Stouffer, and Olivia Dekker will be the announcing crew.

Syracuse enters its final home game with a perfect 5-0 record in the Carrier Dome this season. A victory against Louisville would complete the program’s fourth undefeated season at home since the Dome opened in 1980. The three prior unbeaten Dome seasons (all with 6-0 marks) were achieved in 1987, 1988, and 2001.

Syracuse enters the contest fresh off a 41-24 victory at Wake Forest last Saturday afternoon. It was Dino Babers’ first November win in nine tries as Syracuse head coach. The win helped move the Orange up to No. 13 in the College Football Playoff (CFP) rankings, from No. 19 the week before. Syracuse had never before made the CFP rankings.

Louisville lost its sixth straight game last Saturday in a 77-16 defeat at Clemson. The Cardinals are seeking their first win since a Sept. 15 victory vs. Western Kentucky.

Friday’s game is the 17th all-time meeting between Syracuse and Louisville. The Cardinals lead the series 10-6, including posting blowout wins in each of the last four contests. Louisville head coach Bobby Petrino is a perfect 7-0 against the Orange, with most of the games not even close. As 20-point favorites on Friday, Syracuse will have a great chance to turn the tables on him.
