SYRACUSE — Construction will start Thursday on a new seven-story hotel in downtown Syracuse’s Armory Square.
The $30 million, 180-room building will house a combined Marriot Courtyard and Residence Inn. The hotel’s developer, The Inns at Armory Square, LLC, closed financing for the project with M&T Bank on Friday.
The hotel is expected to open in May 2013. The Inns at Armory Square is the first new combined Courtyard — Residence Inn Marriott hotel being built in the northeast, according to the developer.
