Yellow Brick Road Casino to feature Oz-themed bars and restaurants

CHITTENANGO, N.Y. — The Oneida Indian Nation announced Monday a lineup of four Oz-themed bars and restaurants for its upcoming Yellow Brick Road Casino in Chittenango.

The Yellow Brick Road Casino, a $20 million, 67,000-square foot gaming venue in Chittenango, will have 430 Vegas-style cash slot machines and a 500-seat Bingo hall. It will employ about 250 people.

The new casino will be home to the following restaurants and bars announced today:

·         Dorothy’s Farmhouse will offer grilled and deli-style foods, including hamburgers, hot dogs, grilled chicken sandwiches, and other dinner options.

·         Wicked Good Pizza will serve pizza and wings for dine-in or take-out. 

·         Heart and Courage Saloon, a country-western style bar, will feature live entertainment from local musicians.

·         Winged Monkey bills itself as a corner bar that will serve cocktails from noon until midnight on weekdays. It will be open until 2 a.m. on weekends.

Yellow Brick Road Casino is an Oz-themed casino that celebrates Chittenango’s connection to L. Frank Baum’s “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.”

The Oneida Nation said it will announce next week the formal grand opening date for the casino.
