Most positions will be part time, the organization said in a news release today.
The YMCA will hold job fairs at the Baldwinsville Public Library on March 24 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and on March 28 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The new facility will have open positions in areas that include administration; aquatics, including life guards, swim instructors, and coaches; and child care and education, including academic-support instructors, daycare teachers, before- and after-school coordinators and assistants, and tutors.
The openings also include positions in the health and wellness area that include fitness-center floor staff, group-exercise instructors, lifestyle coaches, and personal trainers.
In addition, the Northwest YMCA will have openings for maintenance technicians, janitors, member-service representatives, and gym attendants, and coaches.
Construction on the $20 million, 100,000-square-foot Northwest Family YMCA continues and “is going smoothly,” Lisa Pachmayer, executive director, said in the news release.
